Vink diesel was able to provide ms. Estero with a new 530hp DAF MX13 Euro VI propulsion installation. This was the largest determining factor for the 1963 ship to achieve the Green award Gold certificate.
Cleaner, more fuel-efficient, quieter: Stage V is the standard, Euro VI makes the difference.

Robin Vermeeren says: "We were looking for proven technology. With our small company, we simply cannot afford to pioneer. The ship must be operational every day, if you get an installation that is still full of teething problems, it can quickly mean the end of your company. The engine is the heart of the ship, you don't take risks with it. Furthermore, it also helped that DAF is a Dutch product that is known worldwide and has a broad service network. At the time of deciding, this was the cleanest and most fuel-efficient engine in its class. We first looked at what was possible and feasible, based on which a quotation was made. We then looked at subsidy possibilities based on the quotation. It has become a project of long breath, there was exactly 2 years between Vink's first visit to us on board and the installation."
"The project went excellently. It has been a matter of trust between us and Vink diesel from day 1, especially since the funding took a long time to come. There has been a lot of contact in those 2 years. At Vink diesel, you don't just buy an engine, but also an experience. A cozy, "small," no-nonsense company with short lines and excellent service. In the end, the installation was very neatly installed. We have received many guests in the engine room who were impressed with the neat installation. We are very satisfied. We have been sailing with it for almost 2 years now, and it is working excellently. The fuel reduction is about 30%. Super clean, both at the exhaust and in the engine room, and very fuel-efficient. The few small things we had at the beginning were quickly and adequately resolved. The installation does what it is supposed to do."
